DAY 01 — PORTO & GAIA | WHERE THE DOURO BEGINS

Begin between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, where wine, city and river have been connected for centuries.

Through carefully selected encounters, discover how the Douro shaped the history of Port Wine, its cellars and the commercial relationship between the two cities facing one another across the river.

Wine, heritage and gastronomy establish the first chapter of the journey before the landscape begins to change and the route turns towards the Douro.

DAY 02 — AMARANTE & THE GATEWAY TO THE DOURO

The journey moves east towards Amarante, where the transition from the Atlantic influenced landscapes around Porto towards the Douro begins to reveal itself.

Explore the historic centre, local gastronomy and the relationship with the Tâmega before continuing towards a carefully selected wine estate for a private encounter with a producer.

Culture, landscape and wine accompany the gradual approach to the Douro, allowing the territory to reveal itself rather than simply arriving there.

DAY 03 — THE DOURO, THE RIVER & THE FAMILIES

At the heart of the journey lies the Douro itself, where the river, terraced vineyards and generations of winegrowing families have shaped one of Portugal’s most remarkable cultural landscapes.

The day unfolds around Pinhão, with private navigation along the river, a carefully selected historic wine estate and a reserved lunch in the valley.

A private encounter with an owner or winemaker brings another dimension to the experience, revealing the people, knowledge and family histories behind the wines and the landscape.
